Penticton Together Electors Association

Penticton Together is a progressive, independent movement of residents who believe this community should be shaped by the people who live in it. Not just every four years, but all the time.

We're not affiliated with any political party or provincial/federal organization. We came together around the things that actually shape daily life here: whether people can afford to stay in the community they grew up in or moved to, whether our streets work for people and not just cars, whether the climate crisis is treated with urgency, whether every neighbour — including those going through a hard time — is met with care instead of judgment, whether our local economy works for the people who live here, and whether decisions get made in public, by people who answer to the public.

We're organizing now, heading into October's municipal election. That's a milestone, not the finish line. We're staying organized after election day too.

Our Story

Penticton Together traces its roots to December 2025, when City Council voted down a proposed tiny homes project that would have brought 50 supportive homes to Penticton. For a group of residents watching that debate, it was a turning point — not because we expected easy answers, but because it showed how far apart "managing" people and "caring" for people had become in local politics. Out of that moment came a shared belief: that everyone deserves dignity, and that Penticton can be a place where people are cared for, not just counted. That belief became this movement.

We're hopeful, because we don't think we're alone in believing that. There's more that unites this community than divides it — and that's where our strength comes from.

What We Stand For

We aren't starting with a fixed platform. We start by listening — to what residents are actually worried about, hopeful for, and frustrated by, on doorsteps and in conversations across this city. Some of the things we have already heard includes:

• Community Care — No one gets left behind because they're having a hard time. That includes real, ongoing work on decolonization and anti-racism and building a community that repairs harm and welcomes everyone in.

• Economic Prosperity for Everyone — A local economy that works for the people who live here, not just the people who already have the most. That starts with housing that people who work here can actually afford.

• Resilient Climate Action — Preparing Penticton for what's ahead, not just reacting once it arrives.

• Transparent, Accountable Local Government — Decisions made in public, by people who answer to the public.

• We are an independent electors' organization, registered with Elections BC and a registered non-profit society.

• We are not affiliated with any provincial or federal political party.

• We are a movement built by our members — our priorities, our candidates, and our direction come from the people who join us.

• We are not a one-time campaign. We're organizing before, during, and after October's election
